Pizzarotti is happy to announce that Philip Zazzera has joined our team as the Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety. Phil has over 20 years in construction project management/Environmental, Health & Safety experience in Telecommunication, Solar, Healthcare, Hospitality, Wastewater Treatment, Marine, Heavy Civil (Highways, Bridges, and Tunnels) and Commercial Projects, as well as residential and retail construction. He has worked throughout the US, Puerto Rico and New York. He has implemented OSHA VPP programs with Skanska and Dragados USA utilizing a proactive approach to safety.
As the Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety, Phil is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Pizzarotti Safety Compliance structure while maintaining a culture of commitment to an injury-free workplace and modeling safety as a top priority for the business. Phil will administer the Company’s safety policies and procedures on each project.
Phil received a certification in Construction Project Management from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and currently holds his Certified Safety Professional License (CSP). He is an active member of the Verona Fire Department since 1999 and has also served on the East Hanover Fire Department for three years.
